Mountain Dulcimer Music Fest

Calvary United Methodist Church , 15 Ridge Place, Latham, NY

It's the 36th year for this wonderful festival and will by 5th year as a workshop leader. I'll be teaching a workshop for brand new beginners, one for advanced players, and one that teachers you how to play your dulcimer while those around you play other instruments. They also have one of the best selection of used instruments around.

Music by local musicians will set the mood for this beautiful event featuring Nativities shared by members of the church and the community. Proceeds from a free will offering will go to the Connecticut Chapter of Casting For Recovery, an organization that enhances the lives of women with breast cancer by connecting them to each other and nature through the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.

Marlborough Sings!

All are welcome to this free monthly community event held the 1st Friday of the month. Being able to sing is NOT a requirement. Just the desire to have fun and share some great music. More than 180 songs to choose from and chords are included for anyone who would like to help serenade the group on guitar, banjo, ukulele. Enter the church through the front yellow doors and follow the signs to the lounge.

Middle Haddam Public Library Concert

Middle Haddam Public Library, 2 Knowles Rd, Middle Haddam, Ct

This interactive program will include a brief history of the Celtic Harp and Mountain Dulcimer, with musical performances of traditional, contemporary, and original music on each. Following the performance, participants will be given the opportunity to play a mountain dulcimer. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased by emailing middlehaddamlibrary@gmail.com or calling the library at 860-267-9093 during business hours - Mondays and Thursdays 10am - 2pm, and Tuesdays and Fridays 3-6pm
