“Having been in her classes, heard her perform and played with her in jams I can only say any festival would benefit from having her in their faculty lineup.”
“Carolyn is a talented singer/songwriter who has a beautiful voice to match her beautiful heart. ”
— Rev. Bob Faulhaber Jr. - Senior Pastor, Marlborough Congregational Church
Carolyn Brodginski first picked up a guitar at the age of 10 and found her passion. Since 2011, she has added other stringed instruments to her bag of tricks, including ukulele, mandolin, Celtic harp, and the instrument dearest to her heart, the mountain dulcimer. In 2016 she completed a certification as a therapeutic musician, and played the dulcimer at the bedside for patients at St. Francis Hospital as part of the hospital’s Integrative Medicine Department. She teaches dulcimer at workshops, libraries, arts centers, and music festivals, and has published two books of tablature. Since COVID shut the world down in March of 2020, she has been a song leader on the Send In The Music virtual jam, sharing music virtually with dulcimer players around the world. Four of her original compositions have appeared on the companion CD of Dulcimer Players News, a quarterly journal for dulcimer enthusiasts.
